NDRA announced that that all of their sportsman classes will be run on a year end points system for the 2004 season.  Sportsmen racers in classes like Turbo 4, Comp 4, Turbo 6, Power Street, and NOPI Chic will all be required to run a minimum of 6 races to be eligible for the year end points awards. Points will be based on the current Pro points system and the only bonus points awarded will be for attending all 10 NDRA events.  No Rental Cars.

The year end awards will take place at the SEMA show in Las Vegas. The Winners from each class will receive a NDRA Championship Jacket and the top three will receive X-BOX CUPS plus year-end prize packages.  So, Street Class guys and girls, who will become the first Street Class Champions in Sport Compact Drag Racing history?  If any Street Class racer plans on running 6 or more events and a shot at the Championships, please email Glenn Woods for commitment letters.
